Hello again! So for my concentration I decided create an Ad campaign for the GYC 2015 Conference. To find out more about what GYC is, visit this website! www.gycweb.org
I really wanted to explore advertising and I felt most excited about creating a campaign for the GYC event. And so, my first piece of art for this ad campaign is a poster. I first brainstormed of the theme, A Disciple, which is based on the verse Romans 1:12. It definitely was not easy. Then, I brainstormed how I wanted the poster to look, which was probably the hardest part; but I learned that sketches really do help and you should really do do them, lol. After sketching and considering what messages I wanted to convey through the poster, I decided to start out with having the theme go diagonal across the poster. Then, I added in Bible verses that had the concept of discipleship in them behind the name. Next, I love making images out of letters and words, and so after using Google and Pinterest for ideas I decided to create a sprouting little plant out of the I to signify growth through discipleship in an individual and others. I really love simple designs; so I included minimum information on the outsides and then emphasized GYC in yellow. The yellow adds brightness to the poster and signifies revival. And last of all, the gradient just puts everything together :) There will be another 11 pieces in my concentration that will all unite into one ad campaign.
